Cole gets braces!

Cole got braces today! I think this officially makes him a "tween". He was very excited to get the braces, not nervous at all. In fact, he had his coat on about 1 hour before we had to leave the house. He will have the braces on for 18 months. I hope he is still excited about his braces 6 months from now!! I love you buddy!

Marcia turns 29 again!

The kids were lucky enough to ride around the block in the limo before we picked Marcia up!
They said it was "way cooler" than they expected!Marcia had friends from Wisconsin, Hawaii, and California in attendance! There were several more folks waiting for her at Keys on Main!
We barely had any fun!
How many candles?!
David did an amazing job planning her party! How sweet is this picture?!

Our amazing neighbor, Marcia, turned 29 again on January 8. Her husband, David, planned an amazing party for her at Keys on Main in downtown SLC. The amount of friends in attendance, including several from out of state, was a statement about the great lady that she is! She has the most incredible sense of humor, is warm and caring, and has a huge heart! We were honored to share her special day with her!

I need to catch up with my blogging now that the Christmas dust has settled. I finally have all the decorations tucked away until next year and am enjoying getting back into our usual routine.

Mom came to visit on December 16 and was here through the New Year. She helped the kids with sugar cookies, played games, and put puzzles together. We also had a great silly string fight in the front yard!!!

Christmas Eve was spent with our great neighbors... we shared dinner and then went to midnight church services. We were all tuckered out, so we crawled into bed and crashed. Santa got the memo that the kids were pretty good this year and had left some treasures. We then had a yummy brunch and more conversation with neighbors. Christmas was a low key day, just to enjoy time together and relax.

Rich and I got to enjoy a night out all by ourselves while Mom was here (her present to us). We went to a comedy club and stayed at a hotel for the night. It is always fun to get away and just be "the two of us" once in awhile.

New Year's brought a visit from Cal (Rich's dad) and Jennifer, along with her grandson, Shae. The kids had such a fun time playing together-- Legos, basketball, Wii, you name it. Morgan spent a lot of time carrying Jen's little dog, Sophie, around. It was fun to see them all and catch up. We spent New Year's Eve at Marcia & David's... playing games, visiting, and shooting off fireworks at midnight!

We look forward to 2010... so far on the agenda we have Cole's basketball through March, more ice skating for Morgan, Cole getting braces in January, Rich coaching Morgan's soccer again in Spring, Cole finishing up elementary school (holy cow!), and maybe a few road trips...

May you and yours have a wonderful and blessed year!
