Montana in July!
There are never enough words to describe our time in Montana. The fun and relaxing time we spend there is so treasured. One thing that gets me every time I'm there is the incredible smell of the forest and the beauty of the surroundings. I wish I could bottle it and bring it back. We loved our almost 3 weeks there! We spent plenty of time at the Ous' cabin at Lake Blaine, as well as, having lots of fun at Greg & David's place. The first morning we were there, I took a walk and saw a grizzly bear about 1 1/2 miles from the cabin. Needless to say, it didn't take me long to walk (run) back to the cabin! I took over 500 pictures on the trip, here is a very small sampling...
June 2010
I'm not sure where June went, but it went quickly. The kids continued to do guitar and ice skating lessons, we spent some time at the pool, we had fun play dates with friends, and I worked a lot, in anticipation of going to Montana for July. Rich spent plenty of time in the yard... he's pretty much finished with the pond now! It looks fantastic.
Cole's last day of grade school!
Thanks to our friend, Connie, who coordinated this day for the kids, Cole got to leave elementary school in style! On June 3, we all gathered in front of Alta View to "take pictures" of some of the 6th graders. Little did they know, they were waiting on a Hummer limo to pick them up! They rode in the limo to a fun center called Hollywood Connection, spent the afternoon playing games, and rode home in the limo. That driver must have had ear plugs or a lot of patience! I can't believe my boy is done with elementary school. It goes by way too fast! We are proud of you, Cole!
Dinosaur Fair, May 28
Morgan's 3rd grade class learned about all kinds of dinosaurs. When their projects were completed, they invited their parents to the classroom to view them, along with a fun play with songs all about dinosaurs. They had such a great time performing for everyone! So cute!
15th Anniversary!

It is hard to believe that 15 years have gone by since Rich and I got married! I would say that our love, amazing friendship, and sense of humor has made it a smooth ride! I can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else! Here's to many more!!! For our "gift" we will be seeing Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum in concert on July 30. Here's the "fake" ticket that Rich put in my anniversary card. He's a clever guy... be sure to read the fine print!
6th Grade Special Achievement Award- May 27
Cole and sixteen other 6th Graders at Alta View Elementary were honored with an awards luncheon on May 27. These students, along with their regular school expectations, completed an extra project each month of the school year. Their projects ranged from things like research, art projects, poetry, fitness, and community service, and had to be from a different category each month. They had a fun lunch, with the library transformed into a cozy Italian restaurant. Following lunch, professional snowboarder, Seth Huot presented to all the 6th graders. Great job kids!
