The kids were our parents yesterday! We even had to call them "Mom and Dad", and they called us "Rich & Stacey". We have done this once before, and they were begging us to let them be the parents again. We gave them a budget of $50 for the day. They had to come up with, and budget for, activity and meal plans for the day. They started the day off by making us pancakes. I will say, that Rich & I behaved badly during breakfast- banging our forks on our plates, whistling while we waited for our pancakes, and whining about having to get up so early. We then got ready and went to All Star Lanes for a couple games of bowling (discounted bowling is on Sunday morning!). We then ventured to Subway for $5 Foot Longs and shared them on the grass out front. The pet store was next on our list... we played with the puppies and kitties. Then, onto the dollar store to get candy for the movie. Our movie was "Up", playing at the dollar theater. We all enjoyed the movie and then came home to relax before it was time for them to get dinner on the table. The day ended with us watching AFV on television, then reading together on the back patio. Thank you kiddos! You were awesome parents!
