Today is the first day of school! Cole starts 6th grade and Morgan starts 3rd. Both of the kids were excited and nervous last night. Cole was excited about seeing all his friends and being "the oldest kids in school", and was nervous about the fact that "Mrs. Cheever gives a lot of homework". Morgan was also excited to see her friends and meet new friends, and was nervous about "cursive writing".
Morgan woke us up at 6:30 and was all dressed, hair combed, shoes on, and backpack on her back. "Mom, get up! You need to fix me breakfast!". I walked her to her line at school and she held my hand, until she saw her friends. Oh, I'm not ready for this.
Cole was up and showered this morning, ready to take on the day with his new 'do. He was off at 7:55 with his carpool and excitement on his face. I will miss them today. It already seems too quiet in the house. Hope they have a fantastic year! Love you guys!
